We just finished this 3D music video shot entirely on two 7Ds. Worked pretty well except for the few shots we did at 24fps instead of 60. Couldn’t sync the frames well enough:

I researched this to death for quite some time. The issue is that it works…kind of. It creates an in camera stereogram which is not a popular 3D format or even as good as the 3D anaglyph images we saw back in the ’80s. To really create good 3D with a DSLR you either need two of them which allow a couple of different setups to lengthy to get into here, or you can use a somewhat antiquated anaglyph lens (there we’re professional ones briefly available). I created a 3D anaglyph lens adapter just for fun using info I found on instructables.com but it’s certainly not good enough for anything more than a stylistic ’80s 3D look.
