You may have noticed Canon just released the highly anticipated Canon 5d MKIII. Amidst the avalanche of blog posts, some heralding it’s sheer awesomeness and others bemoaning it’s lack of 1080p 60 fps and clean HDMI out, you may have noticed we have been silent on this subject.
Why?
Well, it’s not because we aren’t interested. It’s just that besides the specs, which can be found on every other blog on the planet, no one will know anything further until we actually see some decent real world examples. Plus, we were really busy cooking up some awesomeness.
After the success of Masters in Motion in Austin we decided that in addition to the annual multi-day event, we would start holding smaller one day events as well.
We had to show the East Coast some love for our first exclusive one day Masters in Motion workshop so, we are taking the show to NYC.

“Plus, we were really busy cooking up some awesomeness.” I love that line.
Yes, I am one of those working on a blog post about the new 5D right now. But no specs on my post, I am writing it from the amateur point of view, if they should upgrade.
Haha. Awesome. Not intended to knock any bloggers. Just making excuses for myself
Very interesting camera for sure. Nice features. Some may see it as a bit of a letdown but overall added some really cool stuff.
Canon already released the new MK3? Wow, I didn’t think that this would happen before autumn. But 60 fps sounds great!
Awesome post. I think the 5Dmk3 is exactly what it was always going to be. A step up. Also it’s a stills camera that we are just fortunate enough to use with video at a stellar price considering. I do think Canon is playing their game and will unleash more”video” DSLR’s shortly and cater more to our sort of crowd, with the video features we need. The posts I’ve been seeing are near knee knocking insanity,” what?? they didn’t add XLR inputs? LAME!” Come on…….. its a 5D.
